If I’m in Bowral, I inevitably end up lunching at Elephant Boy Cafe. I time my shopping around that visit. Elephant Boy Cafe is an indulgence not just of great food, but indulgence in an atmosphere unlike any other cafe in Bowral.
Walking into the Elephant Boy Cafe gives a feeling of both comfort and sophistication.
The walls are lined with an alluring collection of old radios, old golf clubs, and books, so if you are on your own, there is no room for boredom.
Old books with unknown titles, old books with titles your mum and dad read or grandparents read. Old books about obscure boring and interesting topics, things you didin’t know they wrote books about.
The lighting enhances an already relaxing and comfortable atmosphere, highlighting interesting features, to take you on a visual journey.
The menu tempts you with not only with descriptions to make your mouth water, but with tid bits of information behind the choice of menu items. It includes delicious pies, soup, curry and wraps. For the sweet tooth there are an array of very tempting cakes and muffins. The staff are attentive and friendly,
and the owner Claudia Le Duc is warm and charming and readilyavailable for a chat.
For a taste of something rather special in cafes, treat yourself to a visit to Elephant Boy Cafe.
