Brigadoon starts with a street parade at 9.30 am. The opening ceremony begins at 10.45 am on the oval. Visitors can see:
Massed Pipes and Drums - up to 600 bandsmen playing highland music,
120 stalls selling scottish pies, shortbreads, haggis, clan memorabilia, a variety of food from other nationalities
Games - haggis hurling, Kilted races, Tossing the Caber,
Bonny Bairns highland dress competition
Highland and Scottish Courntry dance demonstrations
30 Scottish Clans and Societies tents

Over 30 of Australia’s finest jazz musicans will be freatured in reviviing the spirit of the music from the classic jazz era.
Saturday: Moves from Sedalia, St Louis and New Orleans. The end of the 19th century to Chicago and New York in the 1920’s.
Saturday Night: A visit to the famous Cotton Club in Harlem with a ten piece orchestra featuring the music of Duke Ellington. Other forms of entertainment associated with the club’s floor shows and radio broadcasts will also be included.
Sunday: A Michael McZuaid group recreating the exotic sounds of French Caribbeance bands led by clarinet virtuoso Alexandre Stellio. Followed by Australian classic jazz post war revivial. Original compositions by OTJB Jazz Band. Tributes to leading Austalian jazz bands of the 1930’s and 1960’s.
Musicians include Brett Iggulden, Allan Browne from the Red Onion Jazz Band, Harry Harman leader of the Paramount Jazz Band and Neil Macbeth original member of Frank Traynors Jazz Preachers.
